Cody Benjamin is an author and journalist based in Mankato, Minnesota. He currently covers the NFL as a staff writer for CBS Sports.

A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Journalism & Public Relations program, his writing has been referenced by CBS News, NFL.com, RogerEbert.com and The Washington Post. He’s logged bylines for SB Nation, Bright Wall/Dark Room, Lancaster Newspapers and the Faribault County (Minn.) Register.

Cody has also written books like Why We Need the Movies (Especially in a Post-Pandemic World of Screens, Streams and Smartphones) and Hatched: The Unofficially Definitive Guide to the 2017 Super Bowl Champion Eagles.

Originally from Pennsylvania, he began his journalism career in high school, when he was first credentialed to cover the Philadelphia Eagles.

Outside of writing, Cody can usually be found at a movie theater, watching Philly sports or being weird with his wife and two kids. He also serves as an Outreach & Community Life leader at Two Rivers Vineyard Church.
